Queer Spaces Under Attack: Exploring LGBTQ Safe Spaces National Needs Assessment

February 19, 2023 @ 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm

An increasing number of anti-LGBTQ hate violence threats and attacks are being waged against our organizations and institutions. Our communities need to develop strategic responses to the real and shifting threats of hate violence. The New York City Anti-Violence Project, the nation’s largest LGBTQ organization dedicated to addressing and ending violence, has launched the national LGBTQ Safe Spaces Protection Project to help us achieve this effort.

In this 45-minute briefing for donors and senior organizational and policy leaders, we will share data from the first-ever Safe Spaces Needs Assessment survey, first-person accounts, insights and experiences from activists on the ground. Lunch will be served, but space is limited.  Please register today and learn more about how the nature of anti-LGBTQ hate violence is affecting our communities and what they need to be safer.
